For years, Pyrotecnico has wowed audiences at the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival, and this year’s show promises to be just as spectacular!
Founded in 1889 by Constantino Vitale in a quaint village near Naples, Italy, Pyrotecnico’s rich history of pyrotechnic brilliance has evolved into an explosive legacy based in New Castle, Pennsylvania-known as the “Fireworks Capital of America.” As the 4th largest fireworks company in the nation, they’ve been setting the standard for excellence worldwide, putting on a staggering 2,000 firework displays annually across 48 states and beyond.
To celebrate the 47th anniversary of the Sternwheel Festival, we’ve been crafting a show-stopping performance for an entire year. We hope you’re ready for a memorable night, as this year’s theme is a tribute to the legendary Tina Turner, a musical powerhouse who recently left us. We’ll be rocking to her iconic song, “Rollin On The River,” and paying homage to her mesmerizing performances and dancing skills with ZZ Top’s “Legs” as a special salute-capturing the intensity and magic of Tina’s artistry.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 9th, 2023, at 9:30 p.m. as the night sky above the Ohio River comes alive with a breathtaking display of fireworks launched from anchored barges. The show will be perfectly synchronized with a lively musical arrangement, creating an unforgettable sensory experience.
